Since everyone’s skin is different the type of blush you choose will differ to match the wearer skin type. Here are different types of blush explained.
Shimmers – Shimmers look best on drier skin types as they provide a light sheen when worn. If you have oily or combination skin, it is best not to use shimmer, unless you use a good quality foundation that will absorb excess oil from your skin.
Powder – Powder blush is best for oily skin, as they will absorb any excess oil. They also contain less oil and are less likely to clog up pores. Look at investing in a good quality blush brush and apply your blush in a circular motion using less powder and building color.
Cream – Cream blush is ideal for dry skin types as it moisturizes and is less likely to flake. Cream blushes will also last longer, as they stick to dry skin. Apply your cream blush with your finger tips for a natural look.
Liquid, gel, and tint – Liquid, gel or tint blushes can be used by both dry or oily skin types. These types of blushes will have more chemicals and therefore will last a lot longer. Use your fingertips or a makeup sponge to apply and let it dry so that your blush will stay in place. Ensure you blend this type of blush well to avoid streaking and an unnatural look.
